Autumn Winter 2018: Keeping your feet on trend

mens dress shoes

Anatomic & Co recently revealed their Autumn Winter 2018 collection (the best one yet in our opinion). The collection features past best sellers with some new innovative designs, as well as new material and colour updates. Here’s what you can expect…

New Colours

The collection focuses on true Brazilian style – embracing colour! So while the weather may be getting dull, Anatomic’s Autumn Winter collection is not all black and brown. With a multitude of different colours as well as some mouth-watering shades of brown like only Anatomic & Co can produce, there’s bound to be something to catch your eye.

New Outsole

Anatomic has created a brand new outsole – Savoy, which combines a supremely comfortable experience for both leisure and high performance walkers. It’s also destined to become a much sought after style in the footwear world – take a look at the styles Jonas and Heitor.

Shoe Innovation

Innovation is a key focus for Anatomic & Co and this season was no different. The new Francisco walking boot (above) has been created on Anatomic’s award winning 360 Air outsole which provides the wearer with supreme comfort through its air cylinder technology. So whether you’re on an outdoor hike or just walking to the pub, you will be in good company. The boot is also part of the wide-fitting collection, which is growing in popularity each season.

We’re really excited about this season’s new collection and we’re sure you will be too! Stay tuned for more updates on the new collection.

Men’s style guide: what to wear to Wimbledon

So far Wimbledon 2018 has been a gem for tennis fans around the globe. The world-famous tennis tournament has already attracted a number of celebrities, including Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake, Drake, Gerard Pique, Natalie Dormer, Ellie Goulding and more.

And while the focus is of course, on the tennis itself, there is always an element of fashion to keep an eye on too.

If you’re lucky enough to be attending any of the remainder fixtures, or even if you’re just heading to a pub garden to watch the games – here are two stylish outfit options that won’t go unnoticed.

1) Look 1: The classic suit

WIMBLEDON STYLE GUIDE

A suit is the most classic option at Wimbledon as it automatically gives you that formal look. Yes, we know you may be thinking that this is a boring decision, but you don’t have to wear your standard work suit. You can go for something a bit more exciting, like pairing your suit with a knitted tie and a stand-out pair of shoes.

And make sure your suit isn’t too stuffy for the British summer sunshine. Try opting for a suit combo that is light or cut from cool linen-silk for added breathability.

Get the look:

  • suit (navy and cream is always a good option for summer)
  • knitted tie
  • waist coat (optional)
  • white shirt
  • linen pocket square
  • loafers or smart lace-ups

2) Look 2: Pairing seperates

WIMBLEDON STYLE GUIDE

Another option is to pair seperates – like a patterned blazer and a coloured pair of trousers. This is a popular choice amongst the stylish celebrities that take to the stands as it adds a touch of personality.

Don’t shy away from experimenting with designs and colours, but remember to keep the rest of your outfit pretty simple. If you want to keep it summery, pair your suit with a light coloured shirt and loafers.

You should also note that with this kind of look you match the right colours to avoid looking miss-matched.

Get the look:

  • blazer (beige, navy or patterned)
  • colour trousers
  • light shirt
  • a stand out tie (optional)
  • loafers

Shoes

If the weather pulls through, you don’t want your feet to be overheating all day. Loafers or drivers in either navy, tan or a brighter colour are your best bet. The great thing about slip-ons is that they can be worn with or without socks and still look smart.

Laofer options:

Palmares Nubuk Indigo                Tavares Suede Navy             Lorenzo Sheep Skin Black

Shoe styling: The best dressed men at the Royal Wedding

With weddings popping up all over the year, the stylish gentleman will know that these occasions are the perfect time to dress-up and impress.

This past weekend, millions of viewers across the globe tuned in to experience Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding. If you were able to catch the big day, you would have noted some very stylish men walking up the red carpet.

Anatomic & Co takes a look at some of the best dressed attendees who brought their fashion game to Harry and Meghan’s big day, and what shoe styles can be adapted to the various outfits worn.

David Beckham

Shoe style: Steve Smooth Black

The former football star’s suit did not go unnoticed, having a special significance as it was the first official design seen publicly from new Dior Homme artistic director, Kim Jones. The charcoal grey super 130’s wool twill morning coat and pants combined perfectly with classic black lace-ups.

Idris Elba

Shoe style: Leme Smooth Black

Idris Elba opted for the classical three piece suit. The lower cut waistcoat revealed a knitted tie with a classic crisp white shirt.

Jonny Wilkinson

Shoe style: Tucano Cognac Brown

The 2003 Rugby World Cup winner and player of the year added a modern twist to his navy suit by partnering it with a pair of classic tan brogues and a monochrome dog tooth tie.

Nacho Figueras

Shoe style: Tavares Suede Navy

The polo player wasn’t shying away from the dress code, ticking all the boxes with his double breasted, tailored navy blazer. Partnered with a contrast collar blue shirt and dark navy tie, the look was completed with a pair of beautiful navy slip-ons.

George Clooney

Shoe style: Niteroi Full-Grain Black

George Clooney favoured a lighter shade for the Royal Wedding. He completed his Armani grey suit with a soft blue shirt and a matching tie and pocket square.

Alexi Lubomirski

Black Shoe style: Murilo Black  // Brushed Shoe style: Ben Touch Anil Brushed

And lets not forget Alexi Lubomirski, the photographer who captured the official Royal Wedding photos. The fashion photographer stood out from the crowed in his 3 piece suit.

London Marathon 2018: spectators guide

While you may not fancy running more than 26 miles around the city of London, you may still be keen to join the cheering crowds for the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon.

The 2018 London Marathon will be running the streets of the capital, and whether you’re going to support family and friends or to experience the fancy dress fundraisers – this can be an enjoyable day out.

Anatomic & Co has put together a complete spectators guide so that you don’t miss out on the action.

What is the London Marathon?

The London marathon is a 26.2 mile race around the streets of London that attracts professionals, celebrities and some truly impractical outfits. The race attracts just as many spectators as participants with a truly remarkable atmosphere.

The 38th edition of the race will see the Queen herself starting the event – but over at Windsor Castle.

The route

The marathon starts south of the Thames at Blackheath and passes through Greenwich before crossing the river over Tower Bridge. It then continues through central London before finishing in glory in front of Buckingham Palace.

Hotspots for spectators

The Start: Greenwich – the marathon will begin between Greenwich and Blackheath. It’s worth noting that although the Queen is opening this year’s London Marathon, she’ll be pushing the ‘start’ button from the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Mile 12-13: Tower Bridge – if you make it early enough, you’ll be able to photograph your favourite costumes as they speed past the iconic bridge.

Mile 17: Canary Wharf – a prime spot if you’re bringing children along

The final stretch: Mile 25-26 – cheer the runners as they cross the finish line.

Date and start times

This 2018 marathon takes place on Sunday April 22.

08:55 – Elite Wheelchair Races

09:00 – World Para Athletics Marathon World Cup ambulant races

09:15 – The Elite Women’s Race

10:00 – The Elite Men’s Race, British Athletics & England Athletics Marathon Championships and Mass Race

As always don’t forget your shoes

A day where you’ll be on your feet from start to finish always calls for a comfortable pair of shoes. We recommend wearing a pair that is both comfortable and stylish – so if you’re planning to head to the pub or grab a bite to eat you – your shoes will carry you there with sophisticated comfort.

Smart trainers or Casual boots can help you make this transition, whilst keeping your feet happy.

Our recommendations:
