Rotating your wardrobe according to climate changes is especially important with shoes, as this helps avoid injury of certain styles.

Here are some stylish summer footwear staples to enjoy, while soaking up the sun.

1) Tucano men’s leather brogue

mens spring 2019 shoes

What really sets the Tucano men’s leather brogue apart from other styles is its distinctive stitching and contrasting England Rubber Gel sole. They’re a perfect match for slim & cropped linen trousers or jeans, and they come in just about any colour you can imagine.

2) Eric Slip On Shoe

Versatile and resilient, the Eric is an ideal summer go-to. Thanks to their soft sheepskin lining and signature Anatomic gel sole, they’re great for walking. Wear them with slim-tailored jeans or shorts and go sockless, of course.

3) Gurupi Lace-Up

Ideal for a man on the go, the Gurupi lace-up is for those long summer days pounding the pavement and getting around the city. Boat shoes are definitely a summer must-have. The Viana II is handcrafted with soft vintage leather uppers and a rubber sole. A summer style pleaser, these men’s deck shoes can be worn with or without socks.

Having fun with your shoes for the Notting Hill Carnival

Every August the streets of London come alive during the bank holiday weekend with Europe’s biggest street festival.

The Notting Hill Carnival covers the streets of west London with Caribbean colours, music and multicultural flavours.

Attendees can enjoy elaborate floats and colourful costumed performers wind their way through the streets in the carnival parade, move to the sound of steel bands and calypso music, and visit the delicious smelling food stalls along the route.

If you’ve attended the parade in previous years, you’ll have a good idea of what to expect and what to wear. But if it’s your first time, you might need a couple of tips on what shoes are best (especially if you’re on your feet all day) and how to make the most of the parade.

What shoes should you wear?

shoes to wear at the Notting Hill Carnival

Colour is a must! There aren’t many occasions where you can really have fun with different shoe colours – so embrace the opportunity!

While for most occasions pastel tones work better than bright colours (as they make you look supremely well dressed without trying too hard to impress) this is an outing where you can have fun with your shoes. Try invest in colours such as blue, green or red for the perfect carnival look.

At the same time, you don’t want to splash out for a pair of shoes that you can only wear for limited occasions. We suggest going for something like the Sao Paulo men’s lace-up in blue. Magnificently handcrafted and brushed, this shoe will make you stand out for all the right reasons.

The combination of the shoe’s anil brushed colour with the white sole is the perfect balance between classic styling and modern. You can add these with chinos and a blazer for a smart casual look or even pair them with black skinny jeans and a shirt.

As you’ll be moving around a lot and on your feet for most of the day, you’ll be after a shoe that provides you with all-day comfort. The Sao Paulo lace-up won’t disappoint here. Thanks to Anatomic Gel Technology and cushioned sheepskin lining, these shoes will keep your feet happy while you enjoy the parade.

When is Notting Hill Carnival?

This year the carnival takes place on 25, 26 and 27 August.

Where does the carnival take place?

London W10 and W11, usually around Notting Hill, Ladbroke Grove, Westbourne Grove, Westbourne Park and Kensal Road.

How to get to Notting Hill Carnival?

London public transport is your best bet as many road closures will be taking place during the festival.

How to style denim for summer 2018

It’s hard not to love a standard pair of jeans − a versatile item of clothing utalised by all men with a good sense of style. And just because the heat levels are turned up in summer months, it doesn’t mean you have to forget about your favourite pair of jeans or other denim attire.

A common misconception is that denim is not a suitable material for warmer conditions − but if you know how to style it and what to wear it with, it can become an essential to many of your summer outfits.

In fact, here at Anatomic & Co we consider denim a key item to summer styling. So here’s a quick guide on how to rock your favourite pair of jeans and other denim items this summer…

Wearing jeans in the summer

When it comes to wearing jeans in the summer, you may want to avoid your skinnies to give yourself more room to breathe. And it just happens that loose fitted jeans are more on trend in summer 2018. Not only do they look cool, but also feel cool as they won’t be stuck to your legs.

Summer is also a good chance for you to embrace white jeans. Pair these with a breathable pair of loafers and you’ll nail the sophisticated summer look.

Utalise ripped denim

Ripped jeans offer great ventilation (it may sound odd, but it’s effective), just make sure you save these for the weekend and more casual outings. Ripped style jeans offer character. Pair these with a plain T-shirt and a good pair of trainers to pull off the ultimate cool look.

Demin shorts

Every man should own a few pairs of good denim shorts to see them through the summer. Styling jean shorts is easy. You can either dress them down with a pair of trainers and a T-shirt, or you can go for a smart casual look by pairing them with a short sleeve button up shirt and a pair of loafers or boat shoes.

What about the denim Jacket?

This is an unusual item of clothing – it keeps in the warmth when it’s cold and keeps in the cold when it’s warm. So if you’re looking for an extra layer in the summer, these jackets can be your go-to.

So just to recap; denim clothing doesn’t have to be tight or heavy. If you’re shopping around this summer, look for some light denim pieces that will add a stylish layer to your different outfits. Jeans should always be considered when dressing for summer − a pair of white jeans may even become your best friend.

Men’s style guide: what to wear to Wimbledon

So far Wimbledon 2018 has been a gem for tennis fans around the globe. The world-famous tennis tournament has already attracted a number of celebrities, including Jessica Biel, Justin Timberlake, Drake, Gerard Pique, Natalie Dormer, Ellie Goulding and more.

And while the focus is of course, on the tennis itself, there is always an element of fashion to keep an eye on too.

If you’re lucky enough to be attending any of the remainder fixtures, or even if you’re just heading to a pub garden to watch the games – here are two stylish outfit options that won’t go unnoticed.

1) Look 1: The classic suit

WIMBLEDON STYLE GUIDE

A suit is the most classic option at Wimbledon as it automatically gives you that formal look. Yes, we know you may be thinking that this is a boring decision, but you don’t have to wear your standard work suit. You can go for something a bit more exciting, like pairing your suit with a knitted tie and a stand-out pair of shoes.

And make sure your suit isn’t too stuffy for the British summer sunshine. Try opting for a suit combo that is light or cut from cool linen-silk for added breathability.

Get the look:

  • suit (navy and cream is always a good option for summer)
  • knitted tie
  • waist coat (optional)
  • white shirt
  • linen pocket square
  • loafers or smart lace-ups

2) Look 2: Pairing seperates

WIMBLEDON STYLE GUIDE

Another option is to pair seperates – like a patterned blazer and a coloured pair of trousers. This is a popular choice amongst the stylish celebrities that take to the stands as it adds a touch of personality.

Don’t shy away from experimenting with designs and colours, but remember to keep the rest of your outfit pretty simple. If you want to keep it summery, pair your suit with a light coloured shirt and loafers.

You should also note that with this kind of look you match the right colours to avoid looking miss-matched.

Get the look:

  • blazer (beige, navy or patterned)
  • colour trousers
  • light shirt
  • a stand out tie (optional)
  • loafers

Shoes

If the weather pulls through, you don’t want your feet to be overheating all day. Loafers or drivers in either navy, tan or a brighter colour are your best bet. The great thing about slip-ons is that they can be worn with or without socks and still look smart.

So far the 2018 FIFA World Cup has been a treat for football fans all across the globe, and with round 2 currently in progress there’s still plenty more exciting fixtures ahead.

If you’re not lucky enough to find yourself in Russia to experience the electrifying atmosphere first hand, you can still enjoy every moment in your home city.

Anatomic & Co takes a look at some ways you can make the most of the FIFA 2018 World Cup…

Get to know the countries

Fifa world cup 2018 ideas

This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the world and the countries competing – who knows, you might even find your next holiday destination. You can check out FIFA’s Teams page to learn about more about the teams, their countries and more.

Head to the pub or a fan park

Nothing will beat being in the stadium itself, but if you’re looking to enjoy the thrill of the crowed head down to the pub or a fan park near you. This way, you’ll be amongst other fans who make the setting a thrilling one to be in.

Watch the game at home

If you prefer a more laid back atmosphere where you won’t miss a second of the action, then staying at home  is your best bet. Make sure there are drinks in the cooler and friends to experience all the drama with.

Compete with your colleagues and friends

Whether it’s a draw of teams or setting up a Fifa World Cup fantasy pool with colleagues and friends, this will make you feel more involved in the World Cup – and even have a second team to cheer on.

Staying in the loop

The more you know about the World Cup, the more passionate you can be when watching the games. This way you’ll feel more involved in the game and can make a few friendly bets with your mates.

The 2018 FIFA World Cup has already been an exciting one so far, which is why you should get out there and enjoy it as much as you can. Wherever you’re watching the game, make sure your feet are well presented and supported too. 😉

The best escapes for Spring bank holiday

We are all looking forward to the long weekend for the spring bank holiday, which is fast approaching. To lift your spirits even higher, you may be planning a getaway with your partner, family or with the lads.

Whether you’re after a full spa break with your lover, an activity packed trip with the whole family or a lads weekend away, Anatomic & Co has some top picks for spring bank holiday getaways. And as always, we look at the ideal shoes to bring along with you.

Couples getaway:

spring break ideas

Sometimes there’s nothing better than escaping the city and heading for a country getaway. If you’re looking for ultimate relaxation you could always head to a spa in the Cotsworlds, such as the Calcot Manor. The Manor is decorated impeccably and the spa features a stunning heated outdoor pool, perfect for the temperamental British weather.

And what could make relaxation any better than a comfy pair of slip-on or boat shoes? The Viana boat shoe is a top pick, as it is both comfortable and breathable. They can also be worn with or without socks.

Couple getaways always consist of eating out, so it’s a good idea to take a pair of smarter shoes along with you, such as the uber-comfortable and stylish Senador smart-casual loafer. The shoe can easily be slipped on or off and can be partnered with an Oxford shirt and jeans – perfect for a dinner date for two.

Family holiday:

spring break ideas

If you and your family are searching for a spot of relaxation, and perhaps a place to enjoy some of the UK’s finest scenery, you may fancy a weekend in Wales. With the warm weather present, Snowdonia National Park, Rivercatcher and Lagom are all prime locations to enjoy the great outdoors.

If you don’t mind upping the tempo, you could always head for a three-day jaunt to Disneyland Paris. The trip will be in time to catch the park’s “Marvel Summer of Super Heroes”.

Either way, family trips often require a lot of moving around, so you’ll need to pack shoes that you can wear throughout the day. One shoe style that we would recommend this season is the stylish desert boot, such as the Furtado, which will provide you with all day comfort and is easy to combine with different attire.

Lads road trip:

spring break ideas

Barcelona is an epic destination for a lads trip, where you can enjoy plenty or drinks, sun, beaches, fun activities and, of course the legendary cuisine.

Before heading out to experience the incredible nightlife, you’ll want to kick things off with a meal. A shoe style that will help carry you from restaurant to bar is the Planalto smart-casual trainer – adding some classic-charm to your outfit. Minimal design makes this smart-casual sneaker versatile, as well as giving you a much-needed middle ground between smart and casual.

While most weekend getaway shoe styles tend to lean more on the casual side, you may be looking to pack a pair of smart shoes for more formal outings. This summer, we recommend the Formosa Smooth Pinhao – a men’s lace-up shoe that combines comfort with a more refined, classic look.

London Marathon 2018: spectators guide

While you may not fancy running more than 26 miles around the city of London, you may still be keen to join the cheering crowds for the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon.

The 2018 London Marathon will be running the streets of the capital, and whether you’re going to support family and friends or to experience the fancy dress fundraisers – this can be an enjoyable day out.

Anatomic & Co has put together a complete spectators guide so that you don’t miss out on the action.

What is the London Marathon?

The London marathon is a 26.2 mile race around the streets of London that attracts professionals, celebrities and some truly impractical outfits. The race attracts just as many spectators as participants with a truly remarkable atmosphere.

The 38th edition of the race will see the Queen herself starting the event – but over at Windsor Castle.

The route

The marathon starts south of the Thames at Blackheath and passes through Greenwich before crossing the river over Tower Bridge. It then continues through central London before finishing in glory in front of Buckingham Palace.

Hotspots for spectators

The Start: Greenwich – the marathon will begin between Greenwich and Blackheath. It’s worth noting that although the Queen is opening this year’s London Marathon, she’ll be pushing the ‘start’ button from the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Mile 12-13: Tower Bridge – if you make it early enough, you’ll be able to photograph your favourite costumes as they speed past the iconic bridge.

Mile 17: Canary Wharf – a prime spot if you’re bringing children along

The final stretch: Mile 25-26 – cheer the runners as they cross the finish line.

Date and start times

This 2018 marathon takes place on Sunday April 22.

08:55 – Elite Wheelchair Races

09:00 – World Para Athletics Marathon World Cup ambulant races

09:15 – The Elite Women’s Race

10:00 – The Elite Men’s Race, British Athletics & England Athletics Marathon Championships and Mass Race

As always don’t forget your shoes

A day where you’ll be on your feet from start to finish always calls for a comfortable pair of shoes. We recommend wearing a pair that is both comfortable and stylish – so if you’re planning to head to the pub or grab a bite to eat you – your shoes will carry you there with sophisticated comfort.

Smart trainers or Casual boots can help you make this transition, whilst keeping your feet happy.

Our recommendations:

VIANA SKY LIGHT BLUE                               VAI NUBUCK SILVER                       PLANALTO SUEDE NAVY

Easter weekend style guide

Whether or not you’re celebrating Easter, the UK will enjoy four work free days. For some, it’s time to sit back and relish in spending quality time with family, while for others, a weekend getaway might be on the cards.

Whatever the plan, the stylish gentleman will be pondering on what to wear to Easter lunch or what to pack for a holiday getaway.

The Easter weekend promises plenty of time to relax, good food and spending time with those who matter most, so you’ll want to be comfortable while looking stylish when doing all these things.

Anatomic & Co has put together a guide for what to wear over the long weekend.

Dinner with the family

001

We all own a few pairs of jeans, and the great thing about them is their versatility and practicality. So if you’re heading to a family lunch, slip into your favourite pair of jeans and a T-shirt or Oxford shirt.

When it comes to choosing a pair of shoes to partner with your jeans, you’re spoilt for choice – trainers, Chelsea boots and even a pair of brogues like the Tucano Suede Truffle can be worn with denim jeans.

Cardoso Suede Brown                  Vai Nubuck Silver                     Tucano Suede Truffle

Heading home

002

Many people may be leaving the city behind and returning to their home towns dotted all over the country for the long weekend. Family and friend reunions mean a healthy amount of eating and drinking – as they should.

For occasions such as this, you’ll once again want to opt for relaxed-fit jeans or trousers. Round on your look with pieces that work for lounging just as well as catch-up lunches: casual button shirts, lightweight jumpers and comfortable cotton T-shirts.

Casual trainers, lace-ups  or even desert boots are a staple go to for a weekend such as this, offering complete comfort and exuding elegance and style.

Furtado Vintage Cognac               Salinas Hunter Khaki                    Planalto Suede Navy

Couple’s getaway

003

Whether you’re heading to Barcelona, Paris or Milan, the couples weekend away is most often taken in a city setting, where there’s plenty food to enjoy and spaces to explore – so you’ll want to dress accordingly.

And unless it’s a very special occasion, you’ll want to forego suiting. Rather, pack a suitcase of versatile pieces that work hard, like smart-casual staples that can be layered up or worn separately to fit with most occasions and forecasts.

Cotton sweatshirts, a couple button-down shirts and a few pairs of slim-cut jeans or chinos will see you through the weekend.

During the day, it’s likely that you’ll be spending a lot of your time exploring the streets, so practical footwear is a must. Comfortable trainers and boots will be your best friend as they streamlined, comfortable and stylish.

Colorado Suede Tobacco              Planalto Suede Truffle                    Vai Vintage Grey

Anatomic & Co crafts high quality shoes that offer a superior level of style, support and comfort. Using Anatomic Gel Technology®, the soles of the shoes are made from a combination of natural rubber and a special gel. This technique gives the soles added resistance and flexibility, with a non-slip surface and soft leather welts for added comfort.
