Autumn Winter 2018: Keeping your feet on trend

mens dress shoes

Anatomic & Co recently revealed their Autumn Winter 2018 collection (the best one yet in our opinion). The collection features past best sellers with some new innovative designs, as well as new material and colour updates. Here’s what you can expect…

New Colours

The collection focuses on true Brazilian style – embracing colour! So while the weather may be getting dull, Anatomic’s Autumn Winter collection is not all black and brown. With a multitude of different colours as well as some mouth-watering shades of brown like only Anatomic & Co can produce, there’s bound to be something to catch your eye.

New Outsole

Anatomic has created a brand new outsole – Savoy, which combines a supremely comfortable experience for both leisure and high performance walkers. It’s also destined to become a much sought after style in the footwear world – take a look at the styles Jonas and Heitor.

Shoe Innovation

Innovation is a key focus for Anatomic & Co and this season was no different. The new Francisco walking boot (above) has been created on Anatomic’s award winning 360 Air outsole which provides the wearer with supreme comfort through its air cylinder technology. So whether you’re on an outdoor hike or just walking to the pub, you will be in good company. The boot is also part of the wide-fitting collection, which is growing in popularity each season.

We’re really excited about this season’s new collection and we’re sure you will be too! Stay tuned for more updates on the new collection.

Here’s to making the world’s most sociable shoes

We’ve decided it’s time for a change. Now, this isn’t something that’s been decided overnight. It’s something we’ve been mulling over, researching into and planning for quite some time.

‘But why?’, you may be wondering.

Well, we’re fantastically proud of our shoes and the wonderful things our customers tell us. But we thought we could tell our story in a better way.

A new look. An old us.

Don’t get us wrong; our shoes are as comfortable as ever to wear (thanks to our Anatomic Gel Technology®) and as well made as ever (thanks to our fantastic craftspeople in our factory in Brazil) and as stylish as ever to look at (thanks to our lovely design team).

And we’re the same team of people as ever, passionate about outstanding quality and the type of customer service that makes your day a sunny one. After all, we’re a Brazilian, family-run company and living life to the full is in our soul, achieving excellent standards and inspiring innovations is in our minds and adhering to high ethics and fair trade is in our hearts.

We’re on a mission

We believed the time had come to reflect these values and our burning desire to make the world’s most sociable shoes. (Ok, we know it’s not what you might expect a shoe company to say. But then, we’re not just any shoe company…..) This mission is summed up in our new and distinctive strapline that’s us to a T: ‘In good company’.

We’re in good company with our employees and suppliers, because we’re a business that people enjoy working for and working with.

We’re in good company with you, because we craft shoes that are big on both style and comfort factor. Our footwear lets you enjoy more, discover more and do more.

And you’re in good company too, because if you look good and feel good with our shoes, you can lead a more sociable way of life from dawn to dusk.

Say hello to Monty

It was also time to spruce up how our brand looks. We therefore now have a fantastic eye-catching new logo that feels shiny fresh and contemporary. Although we’ve always loved our dog symbol, we felt we should replace him with our very own, very cute and very lively office dog – and muse – Monty.

All of us at Anatomic & Co (including Monty, of course) hope you’ll join us in making the world a more sociable place and enjoying good company at all times.

“Oh this year we’re off to chilly Spain” – Behind the scenes at Anatomic’s SS16 shoot

A new season. A new range of fantastic styles and colours for Anatomic shoes, moccasins and lace ups.

Naturally, a spring/summer collection needs to look like it’s in a spring/summer setting with crisp blue skies and a sizzling sun. Hardly the description of a British day in January, when a shoot needs to be done in plenty of time to allow for printing.

“Hang on”, someone in the Anatomic office piped up. “The weather in Malaga can be an attractive 16°-20° at this time of year.”

And so we booked flights and packed shorts, shades and sun cream, ready for our four-day shoot. Oh, and armed with enough pairs of shoes from our new collection to open up our own branch out there.

Day 1 – Brrrrrrr

We’d chosen our house in the mountains just outside Malaga, not just because it offered great opportunities as a setting in itself but also because of its location and amazingly scenic views.

However……being up a mountain equals being down in temperature. Thankfully, we soon came up with a Plan B.

Day 2 – One arm. Four feet

A recce around Malaga – a port city with iconic sights such as its 11th-century castle and Gothic cathedral, the quirkily named La Manquita (which translates as the ‘one-armed woman’ because one tower was left completely unbuilt) – revealed some perfect places for our shoot, even if it did mean sometimes waiting for the tourists to stroll by.

The sun was out and the weather was warm enough for linen shorts and all kinds of dapper men’s suede loafers and leather boat shoes to accompany them.

Our model during the shoot was Dave; a talented guy who’s also an actor and a classic English gentleman. But why show one pair of Anatomic men’s leather shoes when you can show two? Cue Dan, our equally talented E-Commerce Assistant and office style guru. This was definitely an all-feet-on-deck affair!

The lovely Anna Sara, our E-Commerce Manager was also on hand to keep a watchful eye on everything – from getting the right shots out of Paul, our wonderful photographer, to getting us all up and ready each morning.

Day 3 – Ahoy there

The conditions down in the port continued in our favour, with fine weather and stacks of good natural light, so we made the most of our last shoot day.

Jemima, our stylist on the shoot, is brilliant at pulling together and nailing the key looks for the new season. A nautical flavour is always key for spring but, this year, add a pop of colour as shown here with these striking red Coari driving shoes.

And she was always ready to add the finishing touches and getting even the smallest details positioned just-so.

The boundaries between formal and casual men’s wear continue to blur, which is why Anatomic leather and suede shoes and boots are so multi-tasking. We envied Dave’s ability to pull off everything from colourful chinos for a casual man-about-town look to a desk to dinner executive style.

Day 4 – It’s a wrap

After several very long, tiring days (who says shoots are glamorous?), we had all the shots we needed and it was time to pack up and celebrate with a final drink before heading off to the airport for our flights back to London…

Nothing beats a British cuppa when you’re abroad!

Online exclusives just for you!

They’re exclusive. They’re exciting. They’re exceptional.

And they’re only available online! Dive into our website today because we’ve all sorts of goodies lying in wait. The shoes and boots featured here are web favourites, picked especially for our Internet-loving customers who are discerning and experienced enough to recognise quality footwear when they see it.

These boots were made for walking……working/partying/being extremely stylish overall. Two contrasting colourways and two contrasting materials (leather and a robust waxy fabric) add up to a boot with twice as much wow factor.

Attention to detail is key for us, and we know this boot will be in great demand with its padded ankle support, leather pull-on tab and those quirky brass eyelets.

A brogue boots always looks sturdy yet Guto is surprisingly lightweight and flexible to wear. Now available in black grained leather, it has all the traditional styling of a Chelsea boot but is a great workwear option.

Distinctive stitching and contrasting laces in a solid yet casual looking boot in waxy leather result in a great weekend option to wear with jeans, or a no-brainer for casual attire Monday to Friday.

Our biggest seller for SS15 was Brejo in Cognac. ‘Please do this in black’ was a request we heard frequently over the past months, so we’re excited to introduce Brejo shoes in this classic black.
