Shoe styling: The best dressed men at the Royal Wedding

With weddings popping up all over the year, the stylish gentleman will know that these occasions are the perfect time to dress-up and impress.

This past weekend, millions of viewers across the globe tuned in to experience Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding. If you were able to catch the big day, you would have noted some very stylish men walking up the red carpet.

Anatomic & Co takes a look at some of the best dressed attendees who brought their fashion game to Harry and Meghan’s big day, and what shoe styles can be adapted to the various outfits worn.

 

David Beckham

Shoe style: Steve Smooth Black

The former football star’s suit did not go unnoticed, having a special significance as it was the first official design seen publicly from new Dior Homme artistic director, Kim Jones. The charcoal grey super 130’s wool twill morning coat and pants combined perfectly with classic black lace-ups.

 

Idris Elba

Shoe style: Leme Smooth Black

Idris Elba opted for the classical three piece suit. The lower cut waistcoat revealed a knitted tie with a classic crisp white shirt.

 

Jonny Wilkinson

Shoe style: Tucano Cognac Brown

The 2003 Rugby World Cup winner and player of the year added a modern twist to his navy suit by partnering it with a pair of classic tan brogues and a monochrome dog tooth tie.

 

Nacho Figueras

Shoe style: Tavares Suede Navy

The polo player wasn’t shying away from the dress code, ticking all the boxes with his double breasted, tailored navy blazer. Partnered with a contrast collar blue shirt and dark navy tie, the look was completed with a pair of beautiful navy slip-ons.

 

George Clooney

George Clooney favoured a lighter shade for the Royal Wedding. He completed his Armani grey suit with a soft blue shirt and a matching tie and pocket square.

And lets not forget Alexi Lubomirski, the photographer who captured the official Royal Wedding photos. The fashion photographer stood out from the crowed in his 3 piece suit.
