The latest installment in our Summer trend feature we have looked at the iconic two-tone brogue. You can find the other trend feature articles here including the sandal and driving moccasin.
The two-tone or spectator shoe was a very popular shoe during the 1920 & 1930s in England and now is often seen as a golfing shoe, however it should never be this restricted. Being one of the most unique & playful footwear choices today it is bound to make you stand out in a crowd. This season we have introduced the Tucano two-tone to our Spring/Summer range in an extremely unique brown leather and herringbone wool inspired by the English countryside. Its subtle two tone effect makes the shoe a lot more versatile than the traditional Black & white. Find the Tucano here and find some inspiration below!
You may remember earlier this year the X factor finalist Matt Cardle wore a pair of our shoes on Daybreak to perform a song from his new album (link here). Well this week Matt Cardle again wore our shoes on the ITV program, Weekend. Matt performed the song Not over you on the album Porcelain which you can see here. This time he opted for our navy suede Tucano for a casual look similar to his appearance wearing the Gabriel on Daybreak. He paired the Tucano with washed denim, a flannel shirt and a denim jacket which gave him a comfortable yet smart feel.

In the latest issue of Ultimate Wedding magazine our shoes have been featured in the Grooms style page. The Grooms style in this issue is a very classic outfit which will never go out of style. The feature includes a one button windowpane suit in a dark grey with a white shirt and grey bow-tie. For footwear they have gone for something as equally as classic, our Guara brogue! The Guara has been a staple in our Prime collection recently for its timeless style and versatility. Being part of the Prime Collection they feature intricate handcrafted brogue detailing with our very own signature leather sole.

Last month we looked at our favourite style icons of the past and this week we have looked at 3 of our favourite modern day style icons.
Today there are so many notable style icons we found it hard to pick just 3, so we went to the best dressed list from GQ and selected our 3 favourites from the top 10 there. After much debate we decided our favourites were, Benedict Cumberpatch, Dermot O’Leary & David Gandy!
Benedict Cumberbatch is widely known for his role as Sherlock Holmes in the BBC drama. His style, very similar to Sherlocks is very British, with Crombie coats, tweed and a heavy duty country brogue. To imitate his style we recommend the country themed Tucano.
Dermot O’Leary has only recently gained status as a modern day style icon. His introduction to the best dressed list is influenced by his support of London menswear, being an ambassador at London Collections! His style is known for wearing a classic sleek last shoe with an impeccably tailored three piece suit. For this style we recommend the Suzano!
A model by trade David Gandy has become an icon in the men’s fashion industry recently. His work with major fashion houses, his support at Fashion weeks and London Collections has seen him become a source of inspiration for how to dress for many. Here he wears a modern Chelsea boot, to imitate his style we recommend the Alegre.
When you think of formal footwear you really think of two colours, black and brown. However there are many other colours that can work in a similar context and with a similar formality to these traditional colours. Other formal colours can be such as a midnight navy or a dark grey, which looks great with a suit and the subtle change can alter how an entire outfit looks!
New for this season we have introduced our interpretation of how this style should look, the Canas which is available in a beautiful burnished grey. The Canas is part of the Prime range, our most luxurious collection featuring our signature leather soles, premium leather uppers and a genuine leather welt. Below is some inspiration!
You can find the Canas here.

Since looking at our top 5 spring trends (link here), we have been breaking each one down, looking at the driving moccasin trend last week. This week we look at the summer boot. Commonly known as the shoe to be worn during the winter, the boot has recently been transformed to be just as appropriate in the summer weather. A understated look would be pairing a boot with a classic navy or beige chinos . For something a little more bold, take a look at our photos for some inspiration below.

In our Spring Summer collection there are a range of boots that would work with both casual and bold looks. Take a look at the Matao for example, with it’s mustang leather it is ideal with a navy trousers or light jeans. The Franca is a popular new addition to the collection and interesting details such as the red contrast stitching.

Last week Craig from one of our favourite blogs, Menswear Style tried out the new 2014 Mini, the New Original. The Mini was then also used as a prop for a shoot that followed in Hampstead.
For the shoot Craig wore our Osorio brown suede loafers accompanied with a pair of printed trousers, varsity jacket and fedora creating a real distinctive look that is sure to stand out. The outfit is a really good source of inspiration. A suede loafer is a key shoe for summer, it can look really stylish when worn sockless with trousers to create a casual European look. To replicate a similar look head on over to our website to see our loafer collection here!
