This week our new collection has been featured on the menswear website Mens Fashion Magazine. They have looked over our new Autumn/Winter collection picking out favourites from the Chelsea boot range such as the Cordoso and Viseu as well as the new loafer collection. The 25th of October marks St. Crispin’s day which is also commonly known as shoe makers day. The story behind the day is that Crispin and his brother Crispianus were born into a Roman family who converted to Christianity. Due to this the brothers were disinherited and became shoemakers to survive as well as teaching the word of the gospel. To escape persecution in Rome they fled to France and continued to produce shoes for the poor. They were soon arrested and led before the Roman authorities to be eventually beheaded on November the 8th 288 A.D. In Franca, the shoe making hub in Brazil and where we craft our footwear there is even a chapel dedicated to St. Crispin.
So today we congratulate all shoemakers who dedicate their lives to such an incredible trade. Happy shoemaker’s day from all of us at Anatomic & Co!
In the latest issue of the lifestyle and music magazine RWD the Tucano brogue has been included in the main fashion feature. The Tucano has been a favourite with customers and press over the past season. It’s a great brogue on a red brick sole with contrast stitching that we have spoken about before here.
If you fancy a pair of the Tucano brogues for yourself head over to our twitter here. We are currently running a competition, all you have to do is follow us and retweet our competition tweet to potentially win 1 of 3 pairs of the Tucano which are up for grabs! Be quick though, it ends on the 31st of this month!
Tuesday the 22nd of October was the press breakfast to preview our Spring Summer 14 collection at Choccywoccydoodah in Soho. Guests were presented with a hot chocolate upon entering and a sweet buffet to feast over whilst looking at the great new collection. If that wasn’t enough everyone left with a massive slice of chocolate cake!
Everyone loved the ultralight sole which is new for the season (read more about what else to expect here). A stand out style for press was the Franca. The Franca is a beautiful navy suede brogue boot with great details such as the red ultralight sole, contrast stitching and laces. The saffron suede was also a favourite being an on trend colour for the forthcoming season.
We have always had a focus on crafting some of the most comfortable & stylish shoes available and to do this we aim to improve the technology inside the footwear. We still include Anatomic Gel technology which makes our shoes so comfortable but we are always looking on how to improve. For next spring we have incorporated a selection of new sole technologies throughout our ranges. Below we give a few hints on what you can expect to see.
Just a few things you can expect to see in the upcoming season includes a development to the sole in the Prime range, the sole has flex points at key areas to give greater flexibility. The air pump sole features in the new collection and has the capability to absorb the impact in every step. You can also expect to see the new lightweight sole playing a big part of Spring Summer 2014 which is stylish yet comfortable and of course, extremely light!
Choosing appropriate footwear for the weekend can be especially tough in the winter, you’re after something that will withstand the English weather but at the same time is relaxed after a week at work. We believe we have found the perfect combination of both in the Alecrim. The Alecrim is new for this autumn and looks great dressed down with jeans or trousers. The toe-cap, contrasting sole and waxy leather all add to create a real unique shoe.
The Alecrim is £125.95 and is available here.
In the latest issue of Lancashire & North West magazine Anatomic & Co was featured in the grooms feature. The article focuses on what to wear for the big day. Anatomic & Co are a great choice for footwear with great styling without compromising comfort. The shoe featured is the Assis and has currently 40% off making it £69. The Rodrigo belt also has 40% off making it £29.97. The Rodrigo belt is reversible which really makes it versatile. You should always aim to match your belt colour to your shoes and avoid pairing black and brown leather accessories together at all times. The Rodrigo belt ensures you will never have this problem!
